Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is designed to provide a clear and structured programme of education, setting out key aims, subject content, and the knowledge and skills to be developed at each stage. It ensures a comprehensive and well-balanced learning experience for all children.
In Key Stages 1 and 2, our curriculum follows the National Curriculum, covering English, mathematics, science, physical education, computing, art and design, design and technology, geography, history, and music. Additionally, a modern foreign language, Spanish, is introduced in Key Stage 2, alongside religious education and age-appropriate relationships and sex education.
For our Reception class, we adhere to the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring strong foundations for future learning.
We are committed to providing an inclusive curriculum that is accessible to all children, regardless of their background, gender, disability, religion, or language needs. We work hard to support children with special educational needs, disabilities, exceptional abilities, or those learning English as an additional language. Our rich and challenging curriculum is designed to stretch and inspire every child, while staff carefully monitor and track progress to ensure each pupil reaches their full potential.
