Writing

INTENT:

Using a purposeful writing approach, and incorporating cross curricular opportunities, children will be exposed to a variety of different stimuli, which will encourage them to write to the best of their ability and apply the skills developed across a range of written pieces. 

IMPLEMENTATION:

Providing the children with a variety of experiences to spark creative and purposeful writing, incorporating opportunities for developing language and adapting their writing for different purposes and demonstrating an understanding of audience. The children are taught skills that will encourage them to write with accuracy and take pride in their written learning.

IMPACT:

Through a purpose driven progressive curriculum, the children will be armed with the appropriate knowledge and skills needed to express themselves appropriately with the written word for a range of purposes and demonstrate a clear understanding of their audience.
