Each year, children moving into Year 6 are given the opportunity to take on new responsibilities, reflecting their increased maturity and developing leadership skills. One of the most sought-after roles is that of House Captain or Vice-Captain. These positions are earned by securing the votes of their fellow team members.
The process begins well before the summer holidays, with candidates preparing their speeches. During the first week of the new school year, these speeches are rehearsed and perfected. Each candidate presents their manifesto to their respective house, making pledges of support, kindness, and encouragement.
The successful candidates wear their badges with pride, symbolising their new responsibilities and the trust their peers have placed in them.
