House Captains and Vice Captains

Each year, children moving into Year 6 have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities, reflecting their increased maturity and developing leadership skills.  One of these is the much sought-after position of House Captain or Vice Captain for each house, a role that requires winning the votes of their fellow team members. 

 

Preparation for vote-winning speeches began before the summer holidays and were perfected and rehearsed during the first week of the new school year.  All candidates presented their manifesto promises to their respective houses, pledging support, kindness and encouragement, before votes were made and secretly counted.  Badges were presented to the winning candidates in assembly and are being worn with pride.
